Thank you for those wise words, John - you make it sound so easy! I must remember that I'm on my journey with the Lord and I'm allowed to make mistakes on the way; He, my loving Father, will pick me up and help me to be more like Him. I love the word "Enjoy" at the end, as I feel there is a stong connection between enjoying and letting go.
A very good insight into how we think and can waste time and effort trying to get everything right. I hope these insights are collected and saved somewhere
Thanks John. My 'default' is to reprimand myself when I get things wrong. Those times when I am able to stand back and think "it doesn't matter" always feel like a weight is falling off my shoulders. Thanks for the reminder that God doesn't expect perfection and we can simply trust in him.
I love this post! It frees me so much. I use to be so scared and frightened of trying things or stepping out, afraid to make a mistake! I use to go to a church that was all based on earning Gods approval and your own righteousness. The weight of it is so heavy! It is a wonderful thing to start learning to ENJOY GOD, and TRUST HIM. And that you can move forward without being so afraid and timid of his disapproval. It is so exciting to learn to Enjoy him and enjoy life. Thank you for this wonderful reminder which I needed today.
