Step One weekend, Cratfield 7th - 9th February 2020
The Understanding Yourself Step One weekend is the first step on the journey to understanding ourselves and being equipped to build deeper and more meaningful relationships. An understanding of our temperaments and the interaction between them is used as a tool to aid that understanding.
The latest Step One weekend was held at Cratfiled in Suffolk from 7th - 9th February 2020. The course was well attended, with people travelling in from London, Peterborough, Leicester and Wiltshire as well as different areas of Suffolk. People mixed well and joined in with the teaching and discussion sessions. There was a positive and supportive atmosphere on the weekend which enabled those present to share their experiences and gain a clearer understanding of themselves.
We enjoyed a walk in the Suffolk countryside on Saturday afternoon and a lovely meal in a local hotel on Saturday evening, which gave the opportunity for people to chat and get to know one another better.
It was an excellent weekend with positive feedback and several people asking when the next Step Two course will be!
Some comments from the weekend:
'I feel extremely fortunate and lucky to have experienced not only the course but church family. Thank you for all being so supportive and willing to connect. This is definitely something I feel was missing and will help my personal ability to strive for 'shalom'.'
'Insightful! I was able to break down different parts of my temperaments and characteristics.'
'Very excellently organised, you can sense and feel the genuine love and heart behind the course. Thank you.'
'So interesting, I will definitely be telling many more people about the course. Thank you for the opportunity.'
'Having done Step One many times it was interesting doing it again. I take away lots of feelings about where I am in my journey - positive ones.'
'The content of the course has been both challenging but motivating. In some ways it has been confirmatory but in other ways it shows the need to continually quest to pursue 'who I am now' and am I moving to living in the wholeness of who God created me to be.'
