This weekend takes the understanding we have gained and the application of that understanding a whole stage further. Our knowledge of ourselves and our understanding of others will increase. We will share more insights into the importance of patterns and roles within our family relationships. Those who have attended previous courses have found that it has opened up a whole new dimension of understanding how family patterns have shaped who we are today. We share practical counselling advice through discussion and 'hands-on' experience.
Course content
During the weekend we will discover -
a fresh understanding of family patterns
how to change unhealthy family dynamics
what our 'stance' is, that is how our extrovert views our introvert temperament
further insights into our security, self-worth and significance and how that affects relationships between parents and their children
practical advice and guidance on how to help others.
Course programme
The course runs from 6.00pm on Friday, with refreshments and introductions at 5.45pm, ready for a prompt 6.00pm start and concludes at 5.00pm on Sunday. The course is delivered through teaching sessions, sharing experiences, drama and interactive sessions which provide the opportunity for one-to-one conversation as well as group discussion. The Saturday afternoon provides an opportunity to walk in the beautiful Suffolk countryside and an invitation is given to attend Halesworth Community Church on Sunday morning.
Residential accommodation and meals are provided in four-star holiday cottages on a small family farm set in the heart of rural Suffolk. As this is a residential weekend, guests will be sharing the cottages. We enjoy a fish and chip supper on Friday evening and farmhouse cooking is served throughout the weekend. The cost for the weekend is £220 per couple and £130 for an individual, which can be paid in instalments. However if the cost would prevent you from attending the weekend please contact us.
